Mental Health Association of Sarawak (MHAS) is dedicated to providing community services to support people with mental health needs.

MHAS provides counselling, support with accessing services, advocates and raises awareness, and reaches out to communities to identify their needs, and deliver much needed education, support, and programmes for both the general public, and specific populations.

More Malaysians are struggling with their mental health than ever before. In Sarawak there is limited availability of public mental health services, and many cannot afford to pay for private care, therefore our charitable services are vital for filling this gap.

What can you do to make a difference?

For all of this MHAS depends on financial support from generous individuals, corporate sponsors, and other monetary donations. Please donate to support our efforts to provide the access to professional mental health services, and support us to raise awareness and influence policymakers, to create change to protect everyone’s mental health.

Your donation will be used to:

• Continue to operate our face-to-face and online counselling service
• Raise awareness through events, training, workshops, and other outreach projects
• Operate our group home for people who struggle to reintegrate into society
• Advocate for the rights of people with mental health conditions, and for better public mental healthcare
• Provide guidance and support and help connect clients with the best local professional services
• Develop our in-house services, to increase our capacity
• To provide information and training to reduce stigma and discrimination
